Update on the viruses and bacteria that have made themselves a home in my children’s bodies.
I’m sure you are at the edge of your seat wanting to know.
Kate woke up last night around 10pm or so. Still has a cold. Still on antibiotics for her ear. But she woke up with both eyes matted shut with green goop. She was trying to open them but couldn’t. It was like watching a horror film. We put some left over drops (from Emma) in both eyes. She goes back to sleep. Wakes up at 3am. Wanted milk so I gave her a tiny bit. She falls asleep on me in bed. 30 minutes later, she throws up all over me.
Oh, let’s not forget about Miss Emma. The child is still having coughing fits. Not just coughing in her sleep. She is up for 2 hours minimum–continuously coughing, no break. She can barely breathe. It’s been like this every night since Monday night. Scott, Emma and I get about 2 hours of sleep each night. I took Emma to the doctor today. Her doctor told us at this point, Emma needs sleep more than anything. She said she rarely prescribes codeine for kids but she needs it at night. We will be getting a phone call from her nurse tomorrow to see if that kept her cough away. If not, we will have to take other measures. Emma’s eyes seem to have permanent circles under them.
I’m wiped out.
In other news, k-state lost tonight. Oh well. I couldn’t care less at the moment. I have no energy. Next year, folks…
