Park Pictures

This day…oh I’m ready for it to be over.
It was nice today.  Cloudy and cooler…low 80s maybe? Nice little breeze.

Being a history dork, I have been wanting to see some historical stuff around Gardner ever since we moved here.  Scott refuses “to hang out with the other 80 year olds”.  He won’t go with me.  I think anything historical is fascinating, especially where we live.

I decided to bring Emma and Kate to an old historic school.  The Lanesfield Historic School is about 5 minutes away from our house.  I looked up directions, got the girls and left.  We got a little lost–typical me, being it’s only 5 minutes away.  But I found it and…it’s closed on Mondays.  Egh!

So I took the girls to a huge park near our house, we always come here when it’s nice out.  It’s the best park I’ve been to around this area.  It’s huge.  It has tons of stuff for kids Emma’s age and kids Kate’s age.  There are also a lot places to take pictures. (The website pictures doesn’t do it justice)

So that’s what we did.  The girls loved it.

p.s. I can’t help but wonder where this blonde hair business came from? I mean, really, is the Mexican hair gene that easy to destroy?

Oh, but it doesn’t end there.  My unlock/lock button on my keys broke or the battery died or something.  It decided not to unlock as we were getting ready to leave. Oh yes.  I left my cell phone, the diaper bag, our water, our cookies from the gas station, all in there.  I had to chase one of the other moms down and pray that Scott answered his phone from an unknown number.  He did.  He left work early to go home and get my other key at home then come to the park.  After about 20 minutes after numerous clicking of my keys, I saw my lights flash.  It opened. I ran like hell to open the door and call Scott back.
I’m glad it wasn’t 90 degrees or raining.  We made it home.
Then tonight, poor poor Kate got her nose smashed.  See next blog post.  Please compare the pictures of Kate here with the next one.
As I said…I’m happy this day is finally over.
