From November 1st through December 31, I have something that has to be done/somewhere to go/people to see/something to get… every single day.
This time of year is completely crazy for our family. I’m sure it’s crazy for any family to be busier than normal during the holidays. But I feel like my family has an exception.
The BIRTHDAYS. From November 4th-December 31st we have 8 birthdays. That is just within our immediate families. My 3 siblings and I all have November or December birthdays. My mom is December. My sister’s husband is November. Of course, my little sister is dating a guy with a November birthday. And Scott’s dad and brother are in December.
Let’s not forget Thanksgiving and Christmas presents/celebrations too…
Is there seriously nothing else to do in February and March but make babies???
For this reason, I vow to NEVER, EVER get pregnant in February or March. We double up all birth control. Better yet, we practice abstinence in those months. I would never have a child in the “Black Hole” of birthdays. If you’re in my family, you could easily get forgotten or over-looked. Or worse, a birthday gift turned “it’s your Christmas gift too.” It sucks for a child, believe me, I know.
Emma and Kate both have May birthdays. Which, I would like to note, is as far as you can get from the Black Hole. I have heard comments from people that May is going to be a busy month for us as a family. And expensive. I laugh it off. May is easy. Although, I hope we didn’t start something…I could see them both marrying men with May birthdays…and having May birthday kids! Oh, I don’t want to think about how it could multiply.
So…I will probably not be blogging as much as I would like. Or maybe I will blog more to clear my head from the holiday/birthday craziness.
